What's New in Wiseassery

The Wseasserist recently joined Voices.com, the Canadian web-based VO market place, with growing influence world-wide.

Talk about broadening one's base. He's already done gigs for producers in Malaysia and Australia and is negotiating one in the United Arabic Emirates.

Interest around North America now includes up to 30 audition invitations a day!

He must be doing something right. A week ago his demos (posted on this site as well), were the number one "viewed" (I think they mean "listened to") among males on Voices.com.

In March 2010 the  Radio Marketing Bureau (RMB) honoured the best creative in the past year.  A series for Scotts Gardening Products I voiced was a finalist for a 2010 Crystal award, tops in Canadian radio. A clip from one spot opens my current Commercial Demo on this site.

MARKETING MAGAZINE named a spot for Mr. Sub., a major fast food chain in Canada, it's 2009 Gold Medal Winner in the single national radio category. A clip from "RDO TUVT" is part of my Signature Demo on this site.

And the magazine's keen ear.awarded to Molson Carling Beer the 2009 Bronze Medal for its national radio campaign series. A clip from one of the three award winning spots is also part of my current Signature Demo. I play the coveted Announcer role.

Turns out, they didn't award a Gold or Silver for a national radio campaign series in 2009, so the wiseasserist says "This Bronze is Gold, Baby! Yeah!"
Announcements with photographic evidence!

It was only natural someone who began life almost 13 years ago as "Tippi Tippi Talor" (a Canadian reference) would get into fashion. Last summer Grand Daughter Talor was invited on a unique "work experience" in the fashion design department at British Home Stores, a big UK chain. She's an excellent artist and was asked if she'd like to design a T-shirt she and other budding teens might like to wear. One of her designs,  "Bubble Gum Doodles" they used for the Spring 2010 "Tammy" line. BHS says they sold over 4,000 in the first 10 days!

The T-shirt, on the left side of BHS' web page (above) comes in two styles. Cool huh?

Regular visitors to this page know Tippi's latest gig for  The Royal Opera Society's production Cunning Little Vixen at London's Covent Garden  Now she's in rehearsals for another company doing Jane Ayre!
